ClearerPick

Clear policy, local product

Privacy policy

Effective October 18, 2026 · ClearerPick 2.2

Plain-language summary: ClearerPick reads supported Amazon listing and review information only for the research actions you request. It processes and stores that research locally in Chrome. It does not send your extracted data, notes, or exports to ClearerPick servers or third parties.

Information ClearerPick handles

When you choose Collect this page or Collect open pages, ClearerPick reads supported visible Amazon.com fields. These can include ASIN, title, listed price and currency, rating and rating count, displayed purchase band, page-local result position, coupon and delivery text, brand, seller, fulfillment, availability, category, visible Best Sellers Rank, variations, badges, description, feature bullets, specifications, images, A+ indicators, sanitized source URL or search phrase, and collection time.

On a standard Amazon product-review page, an explicit collection can retain up to 60 visible review excerpts with the displayed title, body, star rating, date text, verified-purchase marker, and source URL. ClearerPick also stores information you enter or import: project names, objectives, target prices, requirements, filters, labels, notes, product-family confirmations, decision settings, and optional seller-authorized query CSV rows.

How information is used

Data is used only to provide ClearerPick’s disclosed product-research features: local projects, listing audits, comparisons, EvidenceRank scenarios, collected-page visibility, observation history, review and listing-language analysis, keyword gaps, filters, CSV exports, printable reports, project backups, and integrity-stamped evidence dossiers.

Collection scope

Collection starts only when you choose a collection action. Collect open pages operates on up to 10 already-open supported Amazon tabs, at one page per second. ClearerPick does not open product pages automatically, crawl Amazon in the background, bypass CAPTCHA or Robot Check pages, or build an automatic browsing-history log.

Storage and retention

Research is kept in Chrome extension local storage in your browser profile, subject to product limits of 20 projects, 300 project-product records, 4 MB, and 24 retained observations per record. The optional four-product shortlist and Explore reference use session storage. Research remains until you remove rows, clear or delete a project, uninstall the extension, or clear extension storage.

Sharing and transmission

ClearerPick does not transmit extracted Amazon content, project data, notes, browsing activity, imported query rows, or exports to ClearerPick servers, analytics providers, advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. It does not sell data, use it for personalized advertising, or permit ClearerPick personnel to read your research. User-triggered links navigate to Amazon under Amazon’s own policies.

Permissions

Storage keeps settings and research locally. Access to https://www.amazon.com/* lets ClearerPick recognize supported page content and add explicit collection and comparison controls. ClearerPick requests no access to other websites.

Information ClearerPick does not access

ClearerPick does not read authentication cookies, passwords, payment details, private Amazon purchase history, private seller analytics, personal communications, or pages outside Amazon.com.

Exports and backups

CSV, HTML, and JSON files are created only when you request them. Backup restoration and query import read only the file you select and validate it locally. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them and must be deleted separately. ClearerPick does not access your clipboard.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure

ClearerPick’s use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Access is limited to providing and improving the extension’s single user-facing purpose. ClearerPick does not transfer user data except if legally required, use it for advertising, or permit human access to it.

Changes and contact

If data practices materially change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before the change is released. For privacy questions, email support@clearerpick.com or visit ClearerPick support.
