Installation, collection recovery, local-data controls, and the evidence limits that matter before you rely on a result.
Install or update
After installing or reloading ClearerPick, refresh Amazon tabs that were already open so Chrome can inject the current extension.
Nothing was collected
Use a standard Amazon.com search, product, or review page. Let it finish loading, complete any Robot Check, and choose Collect this page again.
Missing evidence
Missing values stay unknown. Collect the individual product page for richer seller, rank, variation, description, feature, image, and specification evidence.
Manage local research
Remove rows, clear the active project, delete a non-General project, or uninstall ClearerPick. Downloaded exports must be deleted separately.
Back up a project
Open Project setup, backup and report, then choose Backup project. Restore backup validates the JSON locally and imports it as a separate project.
Report a problem
Include ClearerPick version 2.2, page type, expected result, actual result, and whether Amazon showed a CAPTCHA. Never send account or payment information.
Known limits
- ClearerPick supports Amazon.com and preserves supported displayed currencies without guessing exchange rates.
- Search positions, query coverage, and appearance rates describe only pages you explicitly collected.
- Displayed purchase bands are broad observations, not exact sales or revenue.
- Prices may exclude shipping, tax, membership eligibility, or complex promotions.
- Amazon can vary content by location, account, device, and time.
- ClearerPick does not certify seller authenticity, fabricate search volume, or decide what you should buy.
Before reporting an extraction problem
- Reload the extension at
chrome://extensionsif you installed an unpacked build. - Refresh the Amazon tab.
- Confirm the page is a normal Amazon.com search, product, or review page.
- Retry one page before using Collect open pages.
- Preserve a project backup if the report involves stored evidence.
